Rejoice And Pray Every Day!

Pray without ceasing. Even while washing dishes.

When you are doing the washing up, do you pray for your family and friends?

This little double-sided cross dishcloth can help you to remember to keep praying even when doing your household chores. It’s an easy little pattern and you can make it quickly. While you are making the triple crochets for the cross, you will be making a cross on both sides of the little dishcloth. Currently, there is a trend to make and use big country farmhouse style dishcloths. However, my mother and grandmother have told me that they prefer smaller dishcloths for their smaller hands. They also like white dishcloths so that they can be bleached. So, this dishcloth was designed with my family in mind.

This could also be used as a prayer cloth if you wish. But I had dish washing in mind when i created it. My grandmother is a prayer warrior and something that I strive to be as well. This little dishcloth will remind me to prayer while I’m doing my daily chores.

Make up a bunch of them and give them out to your friends at church or at your next lady’s tea. This can make just an extra little item to put in a gift basket for a cherished friend.

Double-sided Cross Dishcloth

Stitches:

Sc = single Crochet;  insert your hook into the loop, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through both loops.

Trc = Triple crochet; yarn over twice, insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over pull through two loops, yarn over pull through two loops, yarn over and pull through the last two loops.

When making your triple crochet, let the stitch move to the back as you do the single crochet in the next stitch.  This will cause a small bump in your dishcloth.  Each side will have it’s own cross.  Your Triple crochet stitches will go on top of the triple crochet stitch but will be on the other side of each row.
