Mother’s Day will be on May 10th this year (in the US). When I lived in the UK, I learned that Mother’s day was called Mothering Sunday.
As I have readers from various parts of the world, I don’t want to limit myself. Regardless of where you live, you have plenty of time to make this for your mother. You can make one for other people too! This makes nice springtime gifts. Some of us, like to give mother’s day gifts to our grandmothers, aunts, sisters, sister-in-laws.
Since it’s for Mother’s Day and to honor my mother and my grandmothers, I’m going to give you this pattern pdf file for FREE download on Ravelry.
If you want the label that I have created though, it will be available on Etsy.
Materials:
Cotton yarn!
Which is what I always use for all dishcloths and scrubbies.
AND Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle ! I love this stuff – I know some people love the scrubbies made of tulle But seriously you should try this scrubby sparkle yarn. all my friends and family love the scrubbies that I make them. Three rounds and you have a pretty little flower scrubby to give out as a gift. If you use the sparkle scrubby yarn in marshmallow (white) add some colored cotton to give it a nice color.
Make a bouquet of flower scrubbies
and give one to each of the ladies
in your family
and friend circle.
My mother’s favorite
color is yellow.
So the first one I made was yellow.
I would love to see what color you use on your flower scrubbie.
If you are curious to see what I made for my mother last year for Mother’s Day, check this post out. I detail how it’s done in a couple of posts.
