Make a Scrunchie tonight and wear it tomorrow!
I love Hair Scrunchies! A few years ago, my daughter said to me, “No one wears scrunchies anymore”…. They are back!! She still prefers the simple hair tie but I like my scrunchies. I think everyone is making scrunchies again these days. So, I thought I would make a version of it. I like the way this one turned out But I think I would make more rows next time. It’s a pretty EASY pattern.
All you need to know is single crochet and double crochet. I alternated rows with those two stitches. I wouldn’t use a bulkier yarn with this pattern.

Materials:
Cotton yarn (I used Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend Yarn)
Hook 3.5MM
CLOVER 1043/E Magenta Amour Crochet Hook, Size E, 3.5mm
Crochet Scrunchie
Ch 19
Row 1: dc in 3rd st from the hook, dc across (17) ch 1 and turn
Row 2: sc in each stitch across (17) chain 2 (do not count as first dc)
Row 3: dc in each stitch across (17) Ch 1 and turn
Row 4: sc in each stitch across (17) chain 2 (do not count as first dc)
Row 5: dc in each stitch across (17) Ch 1 and turn
Repeat pattern of rows 2 and 3 until you have a total of 35 – 43 rows!
What you have now is a long narrow strip of crochet.
Tie off and leave a VERY LONG Tail.
Wrap the end around a hair tie or piece of elastic that is long enough for a hair tie.
And then use the tail to sew up the sides around the hair tie.
When you get to the end, sew the ends to each other.
